A. Withdrawal Policy

Introduction

Consumers have a right of withdrawal subject to the following provisions, whereby a consumer is any natural person who concludes a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither attributable to their commercial nor their self-employed professional activity:

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 1 month without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is 1 month from the day on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, took possession of the last goods.

By way of derogation, in the case of a contract for the regular delivery of goods over a specified period, the withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, took possession of the first goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Acme United Europe GmbH, Junkerstr. 13-15, 42699 Solingen, Germany, Tel.: 021223245100, Fax: 0212332181, E-Mail: kundenservice@acmeunited.de) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but this is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the delivery costs (with the exception of the additional costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. For this reimbursement, we will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earlier.

You shall send back or hand over the goods to us without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of the withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired.

You shall bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exclusion or premature expiry of the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the delivery of goods that are not prefabricated and for the production of which an individual choice or determination by the consumer is decisive or which are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer.

The right of withdrawal expires prematurely in the case of contracts for the delivery of sealed goods which are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene if their seal has been removed after delivery.

Unless otherwise agreed, there is no right of withdrawal for contracts for the provision of services in connection with leisure activities if the contract provides for a specific date or period for performance. Accordingly, a right of withdrawal is also excluded for contracts whose subject matter is the sale of tickets for leisure events scheduled for a specific date.

General information

1) Please avoid damage to and contamination of the goods. Please return the goods to us in their original packaging with all accessories and all packaging components. If necessary, use protective outer packaging. If you no longer have the original packaging, please ensure sufficient protection against transport damage by using suitable packaging.
2) Please do not return the goods to us carriage forward (unpaid).
3) Please note that the above items 1-2 are not a prerequisite for the effective exercise of the right of withdrawal.
